The Burj Khalifa, previously known as the Burj Dubai, is the tallest building in the world, standing 828,9 m (2,723 feet) with 163 floors. It took five years to build, and was completed in 2009 in Dubai's main business district.

3. Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia
The Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower, also known as Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel, and part of the King Abdulziz Endowment Project that strives to medernize the city in catering to its pilgrims.The building stands 601 m (1,971 feet) with 120 floors. The destruction of the fort in 2002 by the Saudi government sparked Turkish and international outcry.
4. One World Trade Center in New York City, United States
One World Trade Center refers to the main building of the new World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York. Construction of below ground utility relocation, footing, and foundations for the new building began on 27 April 2006. On 30 march 2009, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed that the building would be officially known as One World Trade Center, rather than its colloquial name of "Freedom Tower". It stands 541,3 m (1,776 feet) with 104 floors.
5. CTF Finance Centre in Guangzhou, China
CTF Finance Centre formerly The CTF Guangzhou, Chow Tai Foot Centre or Guangzhou East Tower, is a supertall skycraper under construction in Guangzhou, China. It will be the second of the two Guangzhou Twin Towers skycrapers overlooking the Pearl river in Guangzhou. It final height will be 530 m (1,740 feet) with 111 floors. It is expected to be completed in 2016.
6. Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan
Taipei 101, formerly known as Taipei World Financial Center, is a landmark supertall skycraper in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. Designed by C. Y. Lee & partners constructed by KTRT Joint Venture and Samsung C&T. The construction started in 1999 and finished in 2004. It stands 509 m (1,670 feet) with 101 floors.
7. Shanghai World Financial Center in Shanghai, China
The Shanghai World Financial Center, was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Mori Building Company. On 14 September 2007, the skycraper was topped out at 492 m (1,614 feet) with 101 floors. The construction started in 1997 and finished in 2008.
8. International Commerce Centre in Hongkong
The Hongkong International Commerce Centre, is a 108 storey, 484 m (1,588 feet) with 118 floors, commercial skycraper completed in 2010 in West Kowloon, Hongkong. The tower was designed by the American architectural form Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) in associates with Wong & Ouyang (HK) Ltd.
9. The Petronas Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The Petronas Tower, also known as Petronas Twin Tower, are twin skycraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tower were designed by Argentine-North America archited César Pelli. It stands 452 m (1,483 feet) with 88 floors. The building was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Malaysia's, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on 1 Agust 1999.
10. Zifeng Tower in Nanjing, China
Zifeng Tower, formerly Nanjing Greenland Financial Center, is a 450 m (1,480 feet) supertall skycraper in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, China. The 89 story building completed in 2010 comprises retail and office space in the tower section. Architectural firm Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill designed the building, led by Adrian Smith.
